How to Start working with WordPress:

WordPress Installation & Theme installation

Firstly we need to install WP for our website. For installing WP there are two ways one is the manual way and another is the automatic way. 1st method is simple. Just download it and extract it then upload it to the server and rename the folder name to “wp”. 2nd method is a little bit complicated. Firstly you have to activate your hosting account then login using cpanel then go to public html folder. In here you will find wp-config.php in which you have to change database info like username, password etc. Now save the file. After saving press refresh button again and now click on dashboard link. There you see a new option called “Install theme”. Click on it and select template. Then choose the theme which you want to use. Now it should be installed. Now after all these process done you can start working with WordPress. But not before make sure that you have activated your site.

Add New Post

After activating WP, add post in admin panel. You can create a blog article or add a page. First you need to log in to Admin Panel. Give title to the page. Write the content for this page. Save the page. Now you can see the created page under Pages menu.

You can also attach files to the post. Select Attach File from the top menu. Next select the file to attach. Press Insert Icon. You will get an pop up window where you can resize the file if needed.
