If you want to stay safe online, then you need to back up your files regularly. Unfortunately, doing such a thing requires time and effort – especially if you don’t want to spend money every month. So, how should you choose between different software solutions? How does WPBP stand out from others? Let’s find out!

In this blog post, I’ll show you some reasons why you should choose to use WPBP instead of other options.

WPBP: Top Plugin Of All Time

This week, we’re going to talk about the most used plugin of all time – WordPress Backup Pro by WP Devotee. This is one of the best premium WordPress plugins out there and has been since it was first introduced in 2012.

What Does The WPBP Do?

WPBP stands for ‘WordPress Backup Professional’ which includes automatic daily and weekly backups as well as local and cloud storage options. This allows users to easily restore their entire site or just parts of it. They can also schedule backups at different times throughout the day.

It also comes with several other features like creating custom themes/plugins etc so you don’t have to worry about this side of things too much. In addition, it provides detailed reporting so you can see exactly what happened during each backup. It also lets you access an FTP option for those who know how to use it. Let me go over some of its amazing features.

1) Automatic Daily Backups

When you sign up for the service, they will provide you with a free account. Once you make any changes or updates to your website, you need to click on the button next to “Backup Now” and choose between auto-daily, hourly, monthly, or yearly. If you haven’t made any changes or additions to your site in the last 24 hours, then you won’t have any new items to add and therefore nothing will be backed up. You need to wait until things change before it backs up.

2) Cloud Storage

If you would prefer not to store backups locally on your computer but rather upload them online somewhere else such as Amazon S3, Google Drive, or even Dropbox, you can do so through the services provided. As long as you pay, you will be able to use these resources instead of your own hard drive.

3) Customizable Database Settings

You can customize many database settings including table prefixes, password protection, number of days, file type, image quality, and more. You can find the exact details here. Additionally, you can switch from MySQL tables to SQLite which requires less space.

4) Comprehensive Reporting

This is where you can view reports about every step of the backup process on your WordPress site. You get a detailed list of any changes done to your files and databases. You can also check the status of your backups as well as whether they were successful or failed. Everything will be explained clearly so you know exactly what went wrong.

5) Theme Preview & Clean Up

In addition to the extensive report, WPBP also has a preview tool that lets you see how the theme looks for each page. You can preview the images and fonts associated with each page so that you better understand how everything looks.

6) Free Templates

WPBP is absolutely FREE! There are many templates in the ‘Freebies’ section that you can download. However, you may find that some designs look dated now so it might be worth checking out their premium version.

7) Premium Version

One of the best ways to improve anything is to upgrade it. Fortunately, there is a paid version of WPBP available today. This includes full support, unlimited cloud storage, and 5 additional templates. Plus these upgrades include extra features such as faster backups, improved performance, and more.

Why Should You Use WPBP?

As I mentioned earlier, this is my first time reviewing something from this company. However, you should still consider using WPBP because of all the reasons I listed above. These included:

         i.            No Setup

There is no setup required. Simply download the package, install it and start backing up right away.

       ii.            Multiple Backup Options

The service offers different options for backing up your blog. They offer both manual and automatic options. Automatic backups happen daily while manual backups are triggered when needed.

     iii.            Local vs Online

I didn’t mention this previously but you can choose either local backups or online-based ones. What does ‘local’ mean? Well, it means that you don’t want to upload your data online. Instead, you want to keep it on your local machine. On the other hand, if you want to store your data remotely online, then the ‘online’ option is perfect for you.

     iv.            Compatible With Your Host

Another thing I want to point out is that this product was designed to work with virtually any hosting provider. So if you host your blog at Bluehost, SiteGround, or Godaddy, you can take advantage of their unlimited cloud storage. They include WordPress, Joomla, and Tumblr as well.

       v.            Great Support

If you have any questions about the system, you can contact them directly via its support forum. In case you need help installing the software, they even provide a video tutorial. Lastly, if you want to make an issue more personal, you can contact them via email and expect a response within 24 hours.

Conclusion

Overall, I really like WPBP. After trying it out for myself, I found it easy to use and quite convenient to boot. It took me just minutes to set things up and after doing so, I was able to back up almost anything on my webserver without much hassle. Thanks to its generous free trial period, you can try it risk-free before deciding to signup permanently.

After I did that, I realized that it made it simple to create backups regularly. It’s never been easier than now to protect the data stored on your website. Just remember that there are two types of users: those who back up regularly and those who don’t. If you’re not a regular user, I suggest getting started immediately. The benefits are endless!
